With three times the volume and weight of the original Tilt hydrometer, the Tilt Pro’s larger size allows the preinstalled (and user replaceable) Energizer® AA lithium batteries to keep it powered for 3 to 5 years depending on use. You’ll probably forget that the Tilt Pro even needs batteries! The additional size offers additional bonuses: improved specific gravity stability during high krausen for steadier readings on your Android, iPhone, or Raspberry Pi. The range has also been increased 20%, now you can see your Tilt through thicker stainless steel walls. Precision has also been improved for both temperature and specific gravity. Decimal readings are shown for both Fahrenheit and Celsius temperature scales, and specific gravity measurements now go down to below a single brewer’s point (that’s a resolution of 0.00001!) These improvements are features certainly to be appreciated by serious homebrewers and professionals!
